The Client
This organisation is widely recognised as an industry leader, there is now a need for an Accounts Receivable Officer in the finance team to drive this function.
The Role
This newly created position will allow the successful candidate to drive the Accounts Receivable function, working closely with the organisations national business units. This position is very customer centric and will require the successful candidate to work closely with customers to ensure timely payment of debt.
Responsibilities
- Daily allocation and receipting of payments;
- National bank reconciliation;
- Setting up new customers in the system;
- Redesign and drive the credit application process nationally;
- Collection of outstanding debt;
- Producing monthly debtor reports for management;
- Establishment and operation of AR management on a national basis;
- Customer management and control; and
- Assisting with month end processes, e.g., general ledger reconciliations and providing general accounting and administration support.
About You
- Strong Excel experience, i.e.; Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s;
- Experience working in a small team, or standalone role;
- Experience working to targets and KPI's;
- Experience working with both major and minor accounts;
- Strong experience negotiating payment plans;
- Ability to create strong relationships with customers; and
- Team focused attitude.
