This highly regard and well established professional services firm with operations across Australia, Asia and the Middle East is looking for a highly motivated Assistant Accountant to take on a contract role. With an impressive array of clients and seen as the market leader in their field this organisation has undergone a sustained period of growth and is well placed to continue to expand throughout 2017.  
  
The Role
Reporting an experienced and engaging Finance Manager your main responsibilities will include:

• Posting of general journals at month end
• Assisting with weekly and monthly reporting requirements
• Review of business unit performance
• Assistance with budgeting 
• Reconciliation of bank accounts and accounts analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Credit card reconciliations
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
• Engaging with Divisional Managers to provide commercial analysis  

 
Ideal Candidate

• You will be part CPA or CA qualified
• Have experience as a Junior Accountant or Assistant Accountant in a large commercial organisation
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Base level competencies in the use of ERP and MS office applications (including strong excel skills)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
