The Work Environment
This large Government Agency is currently seeking an experienced payroll officer with a proven background working in Payroll. An incredibly modern working environment with free parking and easy access to nearby restaurants, cafés and shops. Within the role you will be working closely with supportive teams to carry out and complete the administrative and payroll tasks.
The Role
Taking care of the entire Departments fortnightly payroll cycles will require you to manage and control each employee’s entitlements such as leave, superannuation, pay and personal information in accordance with the relevant legislation, policy, procedures and guidelines. The core competencies for this role would require you to be able to:
- Calculate employee entitlements and process payroll tasks within SAP system.
- Maintain accurate client details in payroll system.
- Respond and answer straightforward payroll enquiries.
- Perform straightforward pay audits to determine over or under payments.
- Provide support for general daily administrative tasks.
Your experience and skills
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have a demonstrated experience and understanding in the following areas.
- Experience using SAP payroll systems.
- Hold a baseline clearance or be prepared to pay the costs involved when obtaining one.
- Have processed high volume payroll in a previous role before (1000+ Staff)
