BOOK KEEPER

A rare opportunity exists within our Company at our Artarmon Head Office for a full time experienced bookkeeper.

 

overall objective

 

The successful candidate must have at least 4 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper within Australia, Diploma qualified, The successful applicant will provide book keeping services to multiple entities and will manage the accounts and payroll for our restaurant group ensuring prompt and correct payment of staff and invoices, forecasting and accurate reporting to management. You will have a Positive and enthusiastic attitude and great attention to detail.

 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Whilst not an exhaustive list, you will be responsible for the following duties:

 

Ensure timely and correct payment of creditors, staff wages and entitlements, and superannuation, including visa obligations of overseas staff.         ·

Data entry of income and expenses into XERO or other software package used by the group, Cash checking and card checking weekly.         ·

Oversee payments made by operations within the group to ensure compliance with payment terms and invoices.         ·

Reconciliation of all invoices including credits and short deliveries, Price comparison and Liaising with suppliers.         ·

Bank reconciliations of banks accounts for all entities in the group on a weekly basis,         ·

Preparing and Processing of payroll across the group on a weekly basis,         ·

Reconciliation of payroll records,         ·

Administration and secretaries’ duties as required for the management team (letters, phone calls, emails etc)         ·

Providing a weekly summary Cash Flow report          ·

Preparation of monthly profit/loss and balance sheets for all entities,         ·

Preparation of monthly consolidated profit/loss balance sheets for all trading entities,         ·

Preparations of BAS returns monthly/quarterly,         ·

Preparations of annual PAYG summaries, workers compensation and payroll tax declarations,         ·

Attending to financial requirements of ASIC for execution by Management.         ·

Maintenance of XERO data file (or other program as directed), including cards, and other data inputs,         ·

Notify owner/external accountant of improvement/problems with accounting systems and/or processes,         ·

Develop internal control processes for the collections of data inputs and integrity of data systems,         ·

Creating, updating and improving Procedures Manual for your areas of work         ·

Liaise with external accountants and/or management to obtain necessary information to perform the above tasks; and         ·

Supervising and training junior staff         ·

Review and maintain currency of insurances including public liability, director’s liability and workers’ compensation policies across the group, and         ·

Any other tasks so directed by the owners and/or the external accountants.         ·

 

 

In return we can offer you between $55k and $60k plus super, Fulltime hours, free car parking, ongoing training within a friendly and well-established team.
