The role:

Following a change in strategic direction within the region our client has experienced a period of sustained growth. This has allowed the business the compliment it's organic success with a meaningful M&A agenda which has also proven to be successful. Recent acquisitions will necessitate the new Managing Director to utilize their superior influencing skills to properly align the new businesses into the wider group from a people, process and policy perspective. The Managing Director will also be tasked with cultivating and developing a consistent, harmonious and engaged workforce across the expanded business.

On a day to day basis, the Managing Director will be responsible for leading the existing business across the finance, IT, sales and marketing, HR and supply chain functions. Developing a commercially driven mindset across the Executive leadership team will be fundamental to the long term success of the business. The Managing Director must embrace and enjoy hands on development of their immediate team in order to forge a strong sales mindset at all levels of the business.

The successful candidate:

  • With a key focus on driving top-line growth across this organization's key business verticals, the role holder will be able to demonstrate a successful background in industrial sales and a B2B environment.
  • With superior communication skills in both the written and verbal form, the Managing Director will develop a sales-based culture, a passion for learning and development and a working environment predicated on meritocracy and teamwork.
  • A passion for sales, knowledge of industrial organizational frameworks and the ability to simplify the value of environmental health products to new/prospective clients will be absolutely fundamental to the successful candidate.
  • 10 years + experience as a Managing Director or General Manager with an Australian wide and / or Asia Pacific wide remit
  • Previous M&A experience would be highly advantageous
  • Business process review and / or business integration experience would also be valuable to the role hilde


What is on offer?

A competitive package fixed remuneration which, depending on experience, will range from $200,000 - 230,000 + super. In addition, there is an attractive at-risk component which will be enticing to those individuals with a sales driven mindset.
