We’re seeking an altruistic and values aligned senior executive to lead our business as the Group General Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and management to all operations and functions of the Australian business

• Ensure the effective implementation of the company’s strategic plan so as to meet agreed targets while ensuring adaptive management and performance standards

• Directs, coordinates and manages the work of internal divisions including the functions of  Technology, Operations, Marketing and Sales.

• Answer directly to the Board of Directors of the parent entity reporting on the overall performance of the business

• Oversee all research and development activity of the business

• Management and approval of financial budgeting

• Participate in feasibility studies and project forecasting

• Liaising with external banking or financial institutions and establish funds management arrangements

• Approval of relevant sales and marketing strategies devised by the Market team

• Review of contracts, preferred supplier agreements, tenders and the signing of relevant legal documents as the authorised representative of the company

• Supervision, control and management of overall project costs

• Participate in the recruitment of key management personnel

• Identify growth and revenue generation opportunities

• Develop and maintain strong strategic alliances with customers, major suppliers, technology providers and joint venture partners

Skill and Experience

• Tertiary qualification in a business or finance discipline essential from a Top 20 university globally; Cum Laude or higher academic achievement

• At least 5-10 years in a corporate environment at the level of CEO, Partner, President or equivalent

• Active service on at least one or more boards of directors of companies in either financial industry or tech industry

• Track record as an angel or VC investor in startups

• Leadership experience in at least one change-of-control transaction (IPO, merger, acquisition, etc)

• Direct experience working in US, EU, Chinese, Indian and at least one other emerging markets

• Ability to work under pressure

• Excellent management and delegation skills

• Ability to work well in a team environment and provide clear instructions to subordinates

• Strong negotiation skills including excellent written and verbal skills
