State Manager

Our client is a well known global organisation in the Facilities/Property Management space. They are highly regarded in the industry, providing innovative and high-tech service solutions to clients across Australia and overseas.

They are currently seeking an experienced State Manager to join their team and implement their plan to take on their competitors and be the best in the market. This position assumes full functional responsibility and full accountability for overseeing the Victorian State Operations, budgetary and revenue performance of all Victorian sites.

You will provide leadership, direction and issue resolution within the business, ensuring growth through new and current business, along with budget adherence, operational efficiency and effectiveness to be maintained at a consistent level.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of, lead & manage the commercial, operational & administrative functions
  • Develop & execute a detailed business development strategy to grow business
  • Develop income & expenditure budgets for Victorian contracts
  • Financial management & accountability for profit & loss
  • Develop & maintain current relationships with new and existing clients
  • Ensure accurate & timely delivery of state and client reports
  • Implementation, management & improvement of agreed processes & procedure

Skills and attributes required:

  • Must have a demonstrated track record in driving outcomes, meeting set objectives and agreed KPI's
  • Strong management skills including: business plans, growth strategies, key account management
  • Commercial acumen - Profit/Loss responsibility, expense control and improvement
  • Experience demonstrating continuous improvement
  • The right attitude - confident, can-do, professional and driven to achieve
  • Competent in managing a multi-site environment
  • Career history - facilities/property/car parking management or similar

This role is an important pillar for information, reporting and implementation of direction to the Managing Director and National Commercial Manager.
