The major duties: -
• Formulating and successfully implementing company policy
• Business planning and identifying company direction
• Identify strategic gaps and resources required to carry out strategy
• Lead management and staff to execute on strategy
• Monitor the operating and financial results against plans and budget
• Monitor growth of business making recommendations to board for expenditure increase to staffing, materials, equipment and running costs
• Ensure cash flow meets financial objectives
• Oversee the development, implementation and ongoing review of the company’s Sales & Marketing strategies and market position for presentation and approval to the Board.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of general management / operational management experience within the manufacturing industry.The successful candidate is also expected to have:
- Experience leading and managing a manufacturing company
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate others
- Strong background in managing customer relationships, engagement and negotiation
- Strong estimating and tender submission preparation skills
- Proven organizational and analytical skills
- Proactive problem-solving ability
- Strong financial skills/background
- Highly developed presentation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
