You will be accountable to the Strategic Asset Manager for the operational coordination and support for practical and innovative facilities management and planning functions, particularly those associated with the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA). You will manage the development and implementation of a range of innovative business improvements, and provide a range of specialist technical and procedural advice that is specific to the requirements of health stakeholders and contractors in the performance of their facilities management responsibilities within a complex health service. In particular, responsibility is assumed for the management of essential breakdown and preventative maintenance services, and for assigned refurbishments and minor works projects. You will deliver a range of specialist asset related research, analysis and advice which supports the achievement of key strategic and business objectives, including representing the Women’s and Children’s Health Network (WCHN) in complex matters related to its built assets.
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in management project teams including internal and external resources. You will have sound knowledge of risk management, governmental probity issues and requirements, quality management and continuous improvement principles, and project review and critiquing processes. This will be supported by knowledge of the South Australian commercial design and construction sector and an understanding of various contract methodologies, relevant legislation, procedures, principles and policies used by Government. You will bring the ability to plan activities and set priorities to achieve objectives and meet deadlines, often in a context of competing priorities and expectations.
