The Growth Manager - New Products, will form a crucial part of Xero’s Platform Growth team in Australia - a function tasked with building new channels, new strategic relationships and increasing value to our small business customers and other partners on the Xero platform

This newly created role will lead a team that is responsible for expanding Xero’s Job Management offerings currently in the market in the form of WorkflowMax and Xero Projects, as well as got-to-market for new products as they’re released. WFM and Projects offer small businesses in service industries the ability to complete job costing and time tracking to manage their billable work more efficiently.

Overview of Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of talented and enthusiastic sales specialists to meet and outperform targets for WorkflowMax and Projects & Expenses
  • Work in conjunction with the Small Business and Partner Channels to cross-sell WorkflowMax and Projects & Expenses effectively. This includes establishing effective systems and processes to leverage the Partner Channel and scale Direct Sales
  • Track and respond to competitors’ strategies in similar markets
  • Work hand in hand with global and regional marketing teams to ensure regional execution is aligned with our global initiatives
  • Work effectively in a new, challenging, and entrepreneurial area of a high-growth business.


What we’re looking for

  • Extensive experience in business development and account management
  • A track record in leading, coaching and developing front line sales teams
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to motivate and influence direct and indirect teams across multiple functions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher tertiary qualification
  • Experience working with senior executive teams
  • Highly regarded experience includes: Accounting/SaaS experience and/or experience working with Job Management software, including WorkflowMax, and the likes of Tradify, Harvest, Fergus, Mavenlink, Accelo Scoro
