About the business and the role

Northline is Australia's supply chain specialist operating an integrated national logistics network in major cities and remote locations throughout the country.  We specialise in four major areas of service provision: Freight Management, Warehousing and Distribution, Global Freight Forwarding and Mining, Construction, Oil and Gas.

This position is based in Sydney- reasonable relocation costs will be offered to the successful candidate. Global freight sales experience will be looked upon favourably.

Do you have the drive to make an impact in the Transport and Logistics Industry?  If so, there is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and ambitious Business Development Executive to join the team at our Sydney branch.

Your responsibilities as a BDE will include:

  • Developing new business opportunities within the NSW market;
  • Maintaining and developing strong relationships with all accounts;
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets, including KPIs;
  • Generating transport solutions to meet current and future customers needs;
  • Proposal presentations and price negotiations;
  • Developing new sales strategies to drive the business forward.  

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Exceptional communications skills, both written and verbally;
  • The ability to solve complex problems providing strategic solutions;
  • proven track record of success in sales where you consistently exceed targets;
  • A background in global freight sales;
  • Influence and persuasiveness in a selling environment;
  • Confident presentation skills, with the ability to deliver high–impact proposals to a wide range of stakeholders;
  • Process Management skills;
  • Time management skills to ensure work outcomes;
  • Technical competency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Tenacious and resilient approach and
  • The ability to work within a team.
