The Role

An exciting opportunity currently exists for a dynamic and results driven Senior Technical Sales Manager to join our Industrial Air Filtration business unit to manage our northern region covering NSW and QLD.

You will be a highly-driven sales professional who enjoys the challenge of selling a broad range of solutions for dust, fume and mist applications under our Torit/DCE Dust Collector product. The successful candidate can either be based in NSW or QLD. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Meeting annual sales targets by calling on existing and prospective customers to promote the Donaldson brand and products.
  • Facilitating smooth communication channels and customer management with distributors, all Donaldson users and dealers.
  • Build long term relationships with all customers by continually providing professional customer service.
  • General account management such as customer support & training, product demonstration, assistance with appropriate marketing materials & attendance at trade shows.
  • Troubleshooting & managing dust collector technical enquiries.
  • Undertaking market analysis to determine appropriate sales strategies

The Right Person

To be successful in this role, you will hold the following skills:

  • Engineering Degree or Trade (preferred)
  • A minimum of 5 years sales experience with dust collector products or broad industrial product exposure ideally from manufacturing, industrial or food processing plants.
  • Proven experience in account management with a dedication to customer support and service.
  • Strong negotiation skills for direct selling responsibilities as well as indirectly managing dealer partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to read & interpret technical documents such as tenders, technical specifications and design drawings etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management skills.
  • Strong maths disciplines
  • Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Current unrestricted drivers licence together with a good driving record
  • Flexibility to travel locally and extensive interstate as required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM & Oracle 12 or equivalent disciplines
