Established in 1993, United Petroleum is Australia’s fastest-growing independent petrol and convenience company.  We offer premium quality fuels and specialize in retail and wholesale fuel markets, convenience stores, fuel importation, fuel distribution and ethanol manufacturing.  United Petroleum are 100 per cent Australian-owned and with over 400 service stations and unmanned locations nationally, we are dynamic and fast-paced with very exciting growth plans in place.

Reporting to the Head of Cards, we are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our United Card team. The purpose will be to drive growth of the United Card acquisition nationally with the ultimate goal of boosting volume for United.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive United Card growth and volume
  • Self generate a targeted pipeline of leads to ensure that sales targets can be achieved
  • Use analytics and competitor insights to create compelling customer proposition that differentiate United
  • Oversee the on-boarding of new customers, working co-operatively with the credit and operations team
  • Maintain accurate and updated reporting of sales pipeline activity and sales forecasting using Zoho CRM

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and ensure focus on achieving sales outcomes
  • Exceptional business-to-business face-to-face selling skills
  • Experience in consultative selling
  • High level of internal motivation and drive to meet and exceed the expectations of both internal & external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An existing customer portfolio of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME)
  • Relationships with key contacts in the industry
  • Experience in data analysis
