Our Client is a well-established and innovative ingredients company seeking the skills of an experienced Sales & Account Representative.
About the role
Reporting to the Global Business Development Manager, your aim will be to achieve sales growth and profitability for new and existing products as well as be responsible for customer satisfaction and business expansion within a specified territory.
Duties
- Drive existing and new business development and financial growth of our new and existing product range.
- Identify new opportunities and work closely with both potential and existing customers to help broaden penetration into new markets, thus increasing Company profitability.
- Work closely with the R&D team and customers to help drive potential new business through application of technology.
- Manage accounts through the entire sales process which includes prospecting, business development, contract negotiation, signing and post-sales support.
- Develop relationships with new and existing customers to identify emerging needs and business challenges.
- Research and evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of sales and profitability.
- Champion the customer within the business and always represent the Company and its interests in customer relations.
- Responsible for the region’s sales forecasts and tracking.
- Prepare monthly sales report including marketing activities.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets as required.
- Special projects or other tasks as assigned.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Food / Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent.
- Industry experience (i.e. specialty ingredients for food, pharmaceutical or healthcare sales industry).
- Ability to identify new business opportunities as well as cultivate and maintain a current client database.
- Excellent communication and rapport building skills
- Proactive selling skills.
