About the Role

Whilst this role has a sales component, we believe that helping you grow to become a product expert who can consult instead of “sell”, results in a far more engaging sales and account management process.

Our training and induction program has a focus on product knowledge that will help you become a subject matter expert. Once trained, you will find it easy to follow our defined sales process and demonstrate how Schoolbox can help transform prospective schools, consulting them through their journey to become a customer.

  • Track record in IT field account management and experience in Direct B2B sales;

  • Tertiary qualification, Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any related field;

  • K-12 education software experience would be an advantage;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical writing and customer communications;

The talented hard working 'Sales and Marketing Team' enjoy high levels of customer satisfaction, high conversion rates for new business sales and this role will allow you to cultivate and expand relationships with long-standing and new Schoolbox customers.

Your reliable and positive attitude, energetic, upbeat and professional style will support your success.  

You will become a trusted adviser and product expert, creating awareness of the Schoolbox platform through engagements with existing and prospective customers. You will maximise up-sell opportunities and close new business using your values based consultative selling style.

What you will be doing

  • Providing an outstanding customer experience during new implementation projects .

  • Nurture success with  existing accounts by providing customers value-added counsel.

  • Conducting regular status review meetings (on-site or conference) with customer stakeholders to go through support tickets, project updates, custom development.
    Identifying issues within assigned accounts and develop solutions to address concerns.

  • Once gaining expert product knowledge, supporting and consulting new prospective customers through defined sales stages to close new business.

  • Working collaboratively with peers in support, marketing and development teams.

  • Support new customers throughout their new Schoolbox implementation projects and with customer development projects.

  • Developing and executing quality long term account management plans for each customer in your portfolio.

  • Provide updates and report for weekly WIP meetings.

  • Maintaining accurate records relating to all account management activities in our CRM (Salesforce).

  • Self education to understand educational trends within the  K-12 domain knowledge areas and best practice in learning technologies to provide insight to customers.

  • Strong commercial background demonstrating business acumen, coupled with excellent presentation and communication skills both written and verbal is essential

Here's what you need to succeed

  • Technical background, minimum 2 years software technology experience in account management, project management or sales, preferably education industry.

  • Passionate in closing new business sales through applying a consultative selling approach.

  • Strong interpersonal and consultative communication skills, exceptional listening skills.

  • Good problem-solving skills and a high level of integrity

  • Self starter and ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast paced team.

  • Strong technology (specifically software) interest and aptitude, highly IT literate.

  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.

  • Ability to manage conflict and identify position/solution for resolve.

  • Operationally disciplined, well organised, and excellent time management.

  • A quantifiable track record of meeting/exceeding job goals and KPI's.

  • Ability to confidently interact at an executive level within a school environment.

  • Flexibility to travel, including valid, unrestricted passport and driver's license.

Nice to have

  • Experience using and/or selling educational software or software as a service.

  • Experience with CRM systems e.g. Salesforce.

  • Successful achievement of account management and sales KPI's in a team based environment.

  • You are skilled at explaining technical problems succinctly and clearly.
