About Us

Julius Meinl NSW is seeking a Coffee Expert to join our team here in Sydney. New to the Sydney market, Julius Meinl was established in Europe in 1862 and is successful in over 70 countries worldwide. We offer a premium  range of coffees and teas that are carefully selected from the worlds finest regions, sourced directly from farmers through personal contact and handled carefully to ensure that only the freshest and fullest aroma reaches the cup.

The Role

This multi-faceted and diverse role is the perfect opportunity to take you to the next level in your career. You will need to:

  • Identify potential opportunities within the Sydney café and hospitality industry which align with the Julius Meinl brand.
  • Execute sales strategy within the clearly defined territory.
  • Conduct tastings for new, existing and potential clients.
  • Train customer staff upon account setup and conduct ongoing training
  • Manage customer accounts by providing ongoing support and training as required.
  • Ongoing support of customers to enhance and grow their businesses.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Have passion for all things coffee with current or recent barista experience,
  • Be willing to roll your sleeves up and grow your territory.
  • Have strong and confident written and verbal English communication skills
  • Be able to demonstrate previous experience and success at converting and closing sales
  • Achieve set sales targets.
  • Have a strong understanding of commercial coffee equipment. Having a technical background would be an advantage.
  • Possess an overview and understanding of the coffee industry and the continuous changes in the market
  • Be self-motivated and able to work autonomously and be well organised.
  • Have the right to work in Australia and hold a current drivers licence.

A base salary, car allowance, very generous commission and training is on offer to the right candidate. OTE of $100,000.
