We currently have an opportunity for a Technical Support Officer (Door Hardware Specification Writer) to service our existing network of customers in Victoria to prepare door hardware specifications for the commercial construction anbd building industry. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager Vic/Tas - Specification, this role requires complete understanding of pertinent Building codes and Australian Standards.
To be considered suitable for this role, you will require:
- Providing technical support to Specification Representatives and customers
- Comprehensive product knowledge in order to schedule and implement client requirements and transform those requirements into adequate solutions
- Attending Sales Meetings, Product Promotions, Training Sessions and other industry related functions when required
- The ability to work both in a team environment and independently
- Basic computer skills
- Professional personal presentation
- The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
The role carries responsibility for providing customers with a superior and professional service; offering complete security solutions for their individual projects; monitoring movements within the constructions and developer industry and conducting training in product information and suitability.
Previous experience in specification writing and sales within the commercial construction industry would be preferred but is not essential.
