BTP Group is one of Australia’s largest suppliers of quality service exchange, reconditioned and used heavy earthmoving components and parts for Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr and O&K mining equipment.  We provide customers with mining products and service support solutions and also have one of the largest earthmoving rental fleets in Australia.

This role is responsible for supporting our customer base across Queensland with product and service support solutions for their heavy earthmoving equipment requirements for parts, components and equipment overhauls.

It is a genuine hunter role, where you need enjoy being on the road, developing current client relationships, cold calling and driving of new business development and sales.

Based at our Mackay office in Queensland, the key aspects of this role include:

  • Proactively promote and sell BTP’s Products & Services across the Mining, Construction, and associated equipment businesses to current and new clients
  • Effective account and territory management of assigned customers to maintain and grow sales
  • To maintain and develop relationships with all relevant stakeholders from assigned key customers
  • Recommend product and technical solutions that provide the overall lowest cost of operation and maintenance to our customers
  • Ensure that customers always receive a high level of service and technical advice
  • Be a participant in the business in our on-going Continuous Improvement programs
  • Ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times and provide positive leadership in the business by developing a strong safety culture in accordance with Ausdrill’s ONE SAFE ALL SAFE program

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a sales, account management or business development role, ideally within the mining, construction or industrial sector
  • Previous experience with cold calling, territory management and planning.
  • High level of self-drive and an ability to problem solve
  • Have strong organisational and communication skills
  • Heavy earthmoving equipment experience would be an advantage but not essential
  • A proven ability to deliver against sales targets.
