The Role

GDR Group is a fast-paced marketing company that specialises in local area marketing for SMEs. Due to our continued success and exciting new solutions, we’re looking to expand our sales team with an experienced and enthusiastic Business Development Manager.

Reporting to the Head of Sales/General Manager, the Business Development Manager is responsible for targeting new customers through cold calling, converting leads as well as maintaining and growing a portfolio of existing customers.

This is a great opportunity for a talented sales professional to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment that has very exciting growth plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage sales pipelines in line with company objectives.
  • Manage all sales activity including quoting, proposals, presentations, negotiations, etc.
  • Build marketing strategies to suit customer needs that are aligned with GDR’s multichannel solutions.
  • Develop and grow existing customer accounts through great relationship management, upselling and cross selling our solutions.
  • Build great relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with our Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to deliver fantastic results for our customers.

What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years’ experience within a digital media or marketing services business. 
  • An impressive track record of sales success with KPI’s and targets being met.
  • Ability to put a customer’s needs first, structure complex solutions and deliver a compelling sales pitch.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Formal training and qualifications preferred.
