The Role

The Sales Manager is responsible for developing & implementing sales strategies & overseeing and developing sales operation of the North and South East Sales teams to meet Eight Homes sales targets & objectives. The Sales Manager will report to the Group Sales Manager - Eight Homes and will work in conjunction with the Group Sales Manager to establish Regional Sales budgets & targets and to manage financial performance of the sales function. The role is based at our head office in Sunshine however you will be required to travel frequently to our Display Centres located in the North and South East Suburbs.  The key focus of the role is:

  • Financial Management & Reporting;
  • Manage & develop a team of 6 - 8 Sales Consultants by setting & monitoring team objectives and providing ongoing coaching for high performance & engagement;
  • Design & implement Regional sales plans to achieve group sales objectives;
  • Develop, implement & monitor sales processes and systems to optimise sales performance;
  • Provide Marketing support  by analysing sales data & liaising with the General Sales Manager & the Marketing Department to develop marketing, promotions & advertising plans, including realistic forecasts for each region & product;
  • Monitor and maintaining customer relationships;
  • Liaise with key internal & external stakeholders as required to drive sales performance.

Who are we looking for?

The team is seeking an individual with residential building experience who may want to step into a more senior role or who has experience working in a similar role. You will need to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or related discipline, or equivalent experience in sales management role;
  • Strong leadership & successful team management & motivation;
  • Demonstrated skill in customer management & dispute resolution;
  • Proven customer sales & negotiation skills;
  • Well developed experience in & understanding of  the sales environment;
  • Experience in Salesforce or similar sales applications;
  • Working knowledge of trade practices law, residential building codes & guidelines;
  • Proven success in team management;
  • Organisational effectiveness & sales management experience implementing best practices in a sales environment;
  • Min 2 years construction or related sales experience.
