IoT is seen as one of the key growth opportunities in the Vodafone Australia and Global business and we are seeking a person to grow our customer base. This will require building long term relationships with customers as the deployments run over a number of years. 


As the IoT Technical Sales Manager you will be exposed to the key decision makers in Australia?s top companies who may be looking for massive national or global deployments. You will be a key contact charged with delivering these large deals, deals ranging in the hundreds of thousands of connections. You will be supported by the local IoT team and the Global Line of Business. 


Within this role you will drive the IoT revenues and take a key lead within your market segment. You will work to sales targets as well as work to identify core IoT opportunities and seek to truly engage the customer in every interaction. You will seek to understand the customer, their IoT Connectivity requirements and will be responsible for driving complex technical sales and end to end solutions. This person will be driving both technical and commercial solutions and will be comfortable in customer meetings, presentations and tender/project engagements.  


Key Knowledge and Experience:

  • Hold at least 5 years? experience in technology sales/ business development (preferably involving IoT)
  • Deep understanding of key verticals 
  • Demonstrated complex solution sales skills.
  • Knowledge in mobile network technology, fixed network knowledge and basic knowledge about semi-conductor/electronics industry;
  • Qualification in engineering/ technology/science highly regarded but not essential
  • Must be able to share knowledge and work closely with a dedicated, passionate team
  • Ability to self-motivate and manage
