We currently have a vacancy for a professional, self-motivated individual with proven account development and negotiation skills to join our Sales Team in NSW as a Sales Representative – Retail/DIY. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager – Retail/DIY, this role will have you responsible for a defined territory and group of customers in the Retail/DIY Hardware Market.
The key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Implementation of sales strategies to increase our revenue growth and market presence
- Ensuring sales budgets and profit targets are achieved within allocated accounts
- Calling on major builders, retailers and distributors to optimise sales opportunities
- Develop promotional and merchandising initiatives to support sales targets
- Training customers in product information, selling techniques and encouraging participation of our in house Retail Training programmed at store level; to assist our customer sales
- Organising and attending trade and promotional functions for customers
- Providing monthly and weekly reporting
- Attend industry and store based trade shows
To be successful in this role it is essential that you possess the following key skills and attributes:
- Proven ability to achieve product representation, quality brand position and category dominance
- Retail and trade sales experience, within the hardware industry is important and/or security related industry
- Existing relationships within the residential builder, retail and trade markets would be beneficial
- Proven ability to achieve sales through effective communication and negotiations
- Solution selling skills to gain new business whilest maintaining existing accounts
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Basic computer skills for Word and Excel
- The ability to work in a team environment and autonomously
You will be results orientated, with business acument to understand your customers business. A demonstrated ability to present relevant quality information to a wide customer base will be essential. Ideally you will be experienced in field sales and have the ability to motivate, persuade and influencee decision makers to ensure the achievement of sals objectives.
