CSG are currently engaged exclusively on a rare opportunity for a dynamic Category Manager to join an outstanding global consumer supplier of choice, with a truly iconic portfolio of brands. This role focuses on all key retailers - Experience dealing with Coles/Woolworths/Pharmacy desirable. This role is a 12 month contract reporting into the Senior Category Manager to cover a maternity contract.

Responsibilities:

• Development of the category vision for retailers, using shopper and insight data.

• Focusing on all key retailers - Grocery and Pharmacy

• Insights mining - deliver fact based actionable intelligence to the business to identify, create or maximise opportunities.
• Support the national account team to provide category support across all key retailers.
• Analyse and translate strategies and insights into specific activities, while influencing cross functional resources to project manage the initiatives both internally and externally.
• Consult customers by presenting them shopper and retail marketing insights and initiatives.

Requirements:

• FMCG category management experience essential.
• Experiencing as a Category Manager working on key retailers is a must
• A tertiary degree in Marketing, Commerce or a related field.
• Strong analytical and lateral thinking skills with an ability to extract insight and make recommendations based on the review of internally and externally sourced data.
• High level of results orientation and flexibility.
