A world leader in the manufacturing and marketing of quality industrial abrasives to a wide range of industries, we are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and passionate Account Manager.

Being sought is a dynamic, highly focused Account Manager to build and further grow an already established distributor business. Your ability to manage, negotiate and market to various channels; build lasting relationships; and generate end-user conversions will ensure your success in this role.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role is predominantly in the field and very hands on. Although our New South Wales customer base is varied, ideally we need someone technically minded with an industrial or automotive sales background (ideally within Automotive Collision, Paint or Refinishing).

Typically this position involves the following:

  • Establish sales budgets for all key accounts in your area of responsibility in line with the company’s objectives.
  • Develop and implement an effective forward work program and call plan to new and existing customers.
  • Report on sales, activity, and territory performance as required by the organisation
  • Responsible for providing technical solutions and advice to customers about new and existing products to improve the customer’s process.
  • Build and maintain sales volume, product mix and margins by implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Successfully plan and implement the development of new business.
  • Negotiate successful business outcomes with key stakeholders from a diverse range of industries and accounts.
  • Ensure activities comply with legal and ethical standards as well as company policies.
  • Maintenance of the CRM system (Salesforce)

Good organisational and communication skills at all levels, with strong verbal, analytical, written and computer skills are a must for success in all of the above areas along with strong well developed sales and negotiation skills.

Salary package for this position is commensurate with experience and includes a fully maintained Tool of Trade vehicle, mobile, laptop, and Long term incentives.
