SMAART Recruitment is proud to be recruiting for a well-respected international not-for-profit department of a world-renowned University that has established and created a legacy through research and validation to enrich the lives of international healthcare professionals with the opportunity to work in Australia and achieve their full potential by offering an English testing assessment as proof of their ability to communicate effectively in a demanding healthcare environment.Established in the late 1980s under contract to the Australian Federal Government it is recognised and trusted by healthcare boards and councils across the globe.
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who is able to create an innovative growth focused business strategy and drive the business development plan and marketing activities across Australia and New Zealand in order to achieve revenue growth and business targets. You will be reporting directly to the Global Commercial Head of the organisation.
The role:
As a Business Development Manager for Australia and New Zealand you will be able to:
- Drive the sales process from conception to completion
- Increase the profile and be accountable for sales in Australia and New Zealand
- Organise and deliver promotional presentations, attend conferences, roadshows, events and seminars
- Identify and report new business opportunities by undertaking research and analysis in order to provide accurate market data
- Accountable for the development of relationships with key stakeholders in ANZ including Government, Boards and Councils, regulators, high education institutions and our clients existing testing venues to ensure maximum recognition in the region
- To develop and maintain specialist knowledge regarding the healthcare and education markets
- Have the freedom to travel at least once a month to meet with new and existing customers - including international travel
- Previous success and proven experience in generating and attaining new business (in the healthcare or education sector would be an advantage)
- Good knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand education market
- Market research and product development experience would be highly regarded
- Excellent English language proficiency and communication skills are essential
- Previous experience in formulating business proposals and correspondence to key decision makers
- Strong negotiation and persuasive skills
- Excellent time management skill with the ability to work with tight deadlines and under pressure
- Be a strategic thinker with an innovative mind that likes to take action and is driven to succeed
- Must be able to work independently and as part of the wider Commercial team within the organisation
- Most importantly you must be passionate about sales and have the drive, initiative and enthusiasm to be successful in exceeding sales targets
- You will need to hold a valid passport
- Salary base of $100,000 plus super
- Tools of the trade - Laptop, phone
