Reporting directly to the General Manager – Kerrick Australia, this role is for an experienced Area Sales Manager to engage and secure new business, nurture existing accounts, with an aim of establishing ‘preferred supplier' status.

Some of the key tasks include:

  • Identify and gain new business through a sustained program of cold calling, mailing and following up referrals/leads and keeping abreast of competitor's sales strategies.
  • Work closely with clients to determine their present and future needs and propose suitable products, services and upgrades in order to maintain and grow revenue for the organisation.
  • Support and Grow our dealer network
  • Respond to customer’s enquiries, negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority and conclude sales orders to meet targets.
  • Conduct product demonstrations (where applicable) and coordinate the preparation of sales proposals. Sales presentations must include all defined products in line with campaign and distribution objectives.
  • Work closely with Service team to ensure comprehensive understanding of defined direct products, customer needs and competitor offerings.
  • Promote total satisfaction and brand loyalty, by the continual monitoring and response to both customer feedback and market intelligence, and sharing this information with appropriate internal contacts.
  • Participate in trade shows and training events as required.
  • Assist Customer Care team with issue resolutions regarding sales and customer service.

Our successful candidate will possess:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in sales in the capital equipment industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with effective sales and marketing techniques.
  • Experience in Dealer Account Management
  • Experience in managing sales cycles from start (lead generation) to finish (account maintaining/upselling).
  • Highly organised and comfortable with managing multiple projects and tasks to meet timelines in a high pressure environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability work autonomously.
  • Positive and driven attitude with enthusiasm and energy.
