Our client is a large, multi-national supplier of building and home improvement products which are used across all areas of the commercial and residential building industry and home improvement sector. The company is a global leader in their category and despite having a strong presence within Australia, they are currently embarking on an exciting growth phase. Currently there is an exciting opportunity to join this leading organization in the role of Senior Territory Manager.

The role

Reporting to the Field Sales Manager, this is a critical role responsible for the growth and management of key groups within the Independent Hardware Group network throughout the Melbourne south and south west Victoria region. The position will look to develop strong working relationships with key influencers throughout these customer groups where you will look to negotiate and execute joint business and promotional plans. The position will require developing and executing a regular call cycle to effectively manage your territory, while also assisting other Territory Managers to roll out plans throughout their regions to ensure both personal and state / national targets area achieved.

About You

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar Territory Manager / Account Manager role or Multi-Site Retail Manager;
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing account plans which have led to growth;
  • Exceptional relationship building, influencing and communication skills;
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills;
  • Well-developed presentation, communication and influencing skills
  • Highly motivated, reliable and trustworthy with a high level of integrity;
  • Sound computer skills (MS Office, sales force / CRM systems);
  • Professionally presented, articulate and results orientated; and
  • Relevant degree qualifications would be an advantage.
