Situated in the heart of bustling Melbourne, the RACV City Club, with more than a century of tradition and experience has the reputation of being one of the finest clubs in the world. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive, organised and approachable Wedding Sales and Events Coordinator to join the RACV City Club team.
Reporting to the Senior Conference and Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for growing Weddings sales as well as working on events including conferences, dinners and social events. Day to day you can expect to work with clients to determine all event details and offer advice and guidance as appropriate. You will ensure the smooth running of events by liaising with both internal/external suppliers and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that the client’s expectations are being met.
Essential to your success in this role you will require experience in a similar position and therefore a sound understanding of event management, the business events industry and financial management. Your excellent interpersonal skills will help you to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people which will be particularly helpful in ensuring that the client’s needs are realised. Also, a thorough understanding of food and beverage operations will be particularly helpful in the coordination of human and physical resources in this space.
You will also be naturally tech savvy and efficient when navigating through our operating system OPERA. Flexibility to work weekends is crucial to this role.
