Seeking an experienced sales professional to work in our training sales team.

  • Base salary + commission.  Toowoomba based.
  • Sales focused

About the role:

In this role you'll be responsible for selling short courses and qualifications to individuals and businesses as well as having the ability to promote all DGT services.

Candidates will have demonstrated experience in a business sales environment, and will have experience in the training or employment sector.  Successful candidates will also have experience in achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets.

This role will have a strong focus towards new business development.  You'll source and contact potential clients and develop strong working relationships with them. You'll assess and analyse their training and staffing requirements, and highlight where our training services can add value to their business and help them achieve their long term goals.

In addition, you'll work in conjunction with the other sales representatives and specialist staff to create and implement sales resources.  You will also provide feedback to management on market changes and needs.

This position reports to the Training Operations Manager.  You will work with other staff including recruiters, trainers, and field staff. 

You'll be responsible for:

  • Achieving monthly sales targets
  • New business development - developing new relationships with potential clients, including business owners, managers, administrators etc.
  • Creating and implementing sales resources, including support materials.
  • Providing feedback to management on market needs.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience with new business development, including lead generation.
  • Ability to generate sales through phone, written, and face to face correspondence.
  • Excellent relationship building and networking skills.
  • Ability to consult with clients to assess specific training needs.
  • Ability to interpret funding types and conditions, and promote this in a straightforward way to prospective clients.
  • Be self-sufficient, able to work independently, and driven to succeed.
  • You will have knowledge of the VET sector.
  • Demonstrated experience with CRM systems, and solid computer skills.
