The Client:
A market leader in the distribution and manufacturing of different steel products is rapidly expanding through Australia. With a long history and development of long term business relationships they have seen this family owned business thrive throughout the years in operation. They are major providers of quality steel products from Steel plates, Structural beams to Steel pipes and Tubes.
Position:
Due to the rapid expansion throughout Australia they are now looking to expand their successful sales team. They are looking for a Business development manager/Account manager to come on board and generate new business while maintaining and existing portfolio. Your daily duties will majorly see you on the road prospecting and seeking out new business. You will be creating sales relationships with existing and new customers to allow them to rely on you for continual business. This role will have you working closely with your operations manager to see out the production, estimation and completion of all your sales.
This position will have you service the whole of Sydney area targeting major construction and developments going on around Sydney. You will not only be selling throughout your sales process, you will also need to have the product knowledge to be able to provide solutions around developments and structures.
Essential Experience needed:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a single company selling a current construction product.
- Proven sales and account management background
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written)
- Solid sales negotiation skills
- Passion for the industry and delivering excellent customer outcomes beneficial to both the company and the custom
