To support our growing business, Trojan is seeking an experienced and talented individual to become part of our dynamic and close-knit Brisbane Team as a Client Development Manager (CDM).

About the role

As a Trojan CDM, you will be responsible for all aspects of business and sales development including promoting, exploring, creating and pursuing new opportunities to develop and grow the business. Additionally, you will be required to conduct some Account Management responsibilities involved in the transitioning of clients to ensure success through long term business relationships.

The Brisbane office is a close-knit and very good natured team, so it is of special importance that you are able to fit seamlessly within the existing great culture that we have.

Role Responsibilities

  • Generating a pipeline of new business leads to develop and grow the business through:
    • Researching and exploring new markets, industries, trends and contacts;
    • Approaching potential clients through sales visits, cold calls and telemarketing; and
    • Developing and implementing effective marketing plans and strategies.
  • Preparing and delivering tenders, capability presentations and rate calculations;
  • Maintaining and strengthening business relationships with existing and potential clients, which extends to site visits / start-ups;
  • Maintaining a good rapport with all stakeholders; and
  • Continual updating and maintenance of the client database.

At Trojan, we pride ourselves on upholding the highest WH&S standards at all times. In line with this, you will be expected to maintain these safety standards through responsibilities including but not limited to carrying out job safety analyses, risk assessments and site safety audits.

Skills and Experience

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have demonstrated sales experience within the labour hire/industrial (blue collar) recruitment sector. You will also be able to hit the ground running by demonstrating the following:

  • Ability to multi-task, work to tight deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast paced environment;
  • A resilient, passionate and results-orientated personality - you are motivated by building strong connections and providing outstanding service to your clients;
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Self-motivation and individual discipline to work autonomously and effectively;
  • You must possess a driver’s licence and motor vehicle for on the job use. A motor vehicle allowance will be provided to the successful candidate; and
  • While not essential, trade industry experience as well as knowledge of the industrial, manufacturing, logistics and/or transport industries would be highly regarded.
