Blast Movement Technologies is an innovative technology company at the forefront of blast movement monitoring for open pit mining, globally.  They provide a unique solution to maximise ore recovery and ensure long term sustainability for their customers. The solution is established in the market place and is highly regarded by their customers. Opportunities to join this dynamic company are rare, however due to growth, a technical sales position has been newly created.

Servicing the local Australian market and based out of their Perth office, BMT is seeking an experienced technical sales development specialist, with a proven track record in solution selling to join the team.

The Role:

The Technical Sales Development Executive is the sales lead for all new business in Australia and is responsible for technical and business requirements discovery, solution design, proposal preparation, support and technical presentations to customers for the BMT services and solutions.

You will be involved in:

  • Performing customer discovery discussions to understand and document business needs
  • Designing requirements necessary for the formulation of a value proposition
  • Documenting and presenting the solution to various customers
  • Working closely with the Technical Experts in Australia to maximise customer satisfaction and create opportunity
  • Proactively prospecting for new leads
  • Growing BMT services, sales and revenue through proactive engagement with customers
  • Participating in strategic and tactical account planning.

About You:

  • Prior experience as a Sales Engineer is required; with the skills and knowledge needed to be effective
  • Prior experience of conducting cold calls on targeted and qualified customers
  • Business and technical requirements discovery coupled with the ability to craft a solution based on those requirements
  • 3 years’ experience selling technical solutions with prior open pit mining sales experience a major plus
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Proposal Response including solution design and written response to technical requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A willingness to travel when required. 

The salary will be commensurate with your experience and includes a generous commission scheme.
