The Opportunity
Our client is a privately owned, multi-national leader in manufacturing quality products across Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the focus of this role will be to drive and lead the transformational change in safety culture across the site, providing support and strategic direction in the areas of safety and workers compensation across operations. This includes oversight in the development, implementation and continual improvement in safety and ensuring that a culture-based approach to safety underpins every decision and action as the organisation advances into the next stage of its evolution.
Ultimately this role is pivotal to embedding safety as a value and shifting thinking and attitudes towards safety principles.
You
Our ideal candidate will be a WHS professional with relevant qualifications and offer experience in a dynamic, culture-focused health and safety position. You will be hands-on, pragmatic, resilient and flexible with extensive experience and knowledge in WHS systems.
You will possess highly developed communication, interpersonal and leadership skills and your work ethic, resilience and conviction will ensure you maintain the confidence of internal team members and build enduring relationships with key stakeholders.
When describing your WHS knowledge and experience you will tell an engaging story of influencing people and organisational culture to create positive change combined with a dedication to the achievement of targeted commercial outcomes. You will be motivated by the opportunity to invest in the organisation for the long term and committed to playing your part as a leader in the journey that the business is embarking on.
