Building our Talent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Talent Acquisition Consultant to join our National HR team based in Melbourne HQ on a 12 month fixed term contract.  The role is responsible for managing end to end recruitment processes for the growing Victorian region to help identify and secure the best talent for Multiplex.

Working closely with the Head of HR Operations, the broader National HR, OD, Talent teams and Regional Business unit leaders, you will be responsible for implementing sourcing strategies for all roles which includes:

  • External recruitment
    • taking comprehensive job briefs
    • creating and writing new adverts
    • phone screening and face to face interviewing
    • completing pre-employment checks
    • managing both our recruitment platform (Springboard) & LinkedIn recruiter account
    • talent pool management
    • agency management
  • Internal recruitment
    • working closely with the National HR team to identify suitable internal candidates
    • advising employees regarding domestic and international opportunities
  • Provide accurate market information and trends to hiring managers
  • Collaborate with HR and business unit leaders to understand project workforce plans
  • Proactively identify innovative ways to attract and source a diverse pipeline of candidates

The ability to quickly develop relationships and influence stakeholders is key to the success of this role and you will have:

  • Proven internal recruitment experience (preferable)
  • Experience recruiting professional roles in the Building & Construction industry
  • Knowledge of e-recruitment application platforms (Springboard, PageUp, Taleo)
  • Conceptual and practical understanding of current recruitment and selection methodologies involved in end to end recruitment
  • Detailed understanding of behavioural interviewing, advertising, selection tools and alternate sourcing strategies
  • Ability to coach and advise managers on interview techniques, sourcing strategies and selection decisions
