This involves a whole range of actions including our overall approach to Employee Wellbeing, Safety, Leadership and Structure.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a hands-on Injury Management Specialist based from our Tomago head office to support our operations nationally. As a key component of our WHSEQ team your will have an interesting and exciting dual focus:

  1. Injury Management functions and related performance;
  2. Proactive employee Health and Wellbeing program development and coordination

WHAT YOU'LL DO
In regard to the Injury Management stream of this role you will have accountability for the overall injury and claims performance, outcomes and customer satisfaction including the following functions:

  • Develop effective and targeted injury management and return to work programs;
  • Manage complex claims, provide specialist advice and make recommendations on injury management cases;
  • Build strong relationship to maintain effective communication with injured employees, external service providers and other relevant stakeholders;
  • Work in an integrated and collaborate manner with internal stakeholders (HR team, site HSEQ advisors and management);
  • Drive proactive preventative programs that reduce risk and injury impacts.

An exciting differentiator in this role, you will also be challenged with being a key contributor and driver of our Health and Wellbeing program. This will see you:

  • Project managing developmental and implementation phases of the program;
  • Driving internal engagement and support for the program;
  • Working collaboratively with the HR and communications teams;
  • Systematically managing and maintaining the ongoing program through its annual lifecycle.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Along with a hands-on approach to injury management, strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, you will have:

  • A passion for employee wellness proactive practices;
  • Degree level qualifications in OHS, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or another relevant allied health discipline;
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment;
  • Knowledge of Work Health & Safety legislation, Workers Compensation legislation, relevant WorkCover guidelines and current related issues/trends;
  • Demonstrated experience in injury management and return to work processes;
  • Willingness to undertake regular travel between other Ampcontrol and customer sites;
  • Project/Program Management experience - advantageous.
