Yarra Plenty Regional Library enjoys a reputation as an innovative and progressive library service with 150 staff, 300 volunteers and 9 library branches across three municipalities, as well as a well-established mobile library service.

About the Role

Working as part of a small and dynamic People & Culture team this is a true generalist HR role where you will be involved in all People & Culture areas and each day will be filled with variety and challenge. You will be agile and responsive as you provide advice and services to management and employees across a diverse range of areas including recruitment and selection, training and induction, performance review and management, employee relations, EBA interpretation and OHS.  Supporting the Manager People & Culture, you will coordinate the administrative function of the department and have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of People & Culture plans, policies and procedures.

About you

You are a proactive and confident HR generalist with tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management and several years’ experience working across a diverse range of HR areas. You have a demonstrated ability to deliver effective HR advice and outcomes, coupled with knowledge of and ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements, Awards and HR/OHS legislation. You have developed and implemented HR programs, events and projects, and are comfortable juggling and reprioritising multiple tasks in a changing environment. Your experience is complemented by a proven ability to build productive relationships and effectively liaise with a diverse range of people.
