The Company

This organisation has grown steadily since inception and especially over the past three years has experienced tremendous growth and change.  They have operations across Australia and manage a large workforce of dedicated staff.  Due to recent change in the organisation they are set to expand even more dramatically over the next five years and are looking for a commercially savvy Human Resources Manager to join the executive team.

The Opportunity

The Manager, People and Culture will support the CEO, COO and Executive team in a number of business critical people, culture and growth improvement initiatives.

You will be instrumental in building a human resources framework and delivering a high performance culture through a number of key areas including Culture, Engagement and Change; ER/IR; Talent Acquisition; and Learning and Development Framework and implementing relevant tools to accomplish the above in a cost effective and timely manner

You will be pro-active, hands-on including travelling to sites building relationships with a wide variety of people throughout the business from the executive through to operations.

You will use your commercial experience to build an agile human resources framework that will help develop a high-performance team culture.   You will also be tasked with coaching, training and mentoring supervisors/managers throughout the business to be better leaders.

Your Experience

In this influential leadership role, you will contribute to the organisations wider People and Culture strategy and have the ability to deliver on day-to-day HR matters as they arise. The position has a strong focus on setting the business up for rapid growth plus improving the performance of the business through their people.  To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as Human Resources Manager, with the ability to lead a small and growing people and culture team.
  • You have proven ability to work across all disciplines of business and have shown resilience; creativity and problem-solving ability throughout your career.
  • It is critical that you have had experience with large (1000+) growing award based workforce in service delivery oriented industries.
  • You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills utilising your experience in training, coaching and leadership development across a broad range of skills and abilities.
  • You have proven mental agility to digest challenges quickly working with a highly competent and dynamic executive team.
