We are currently seeking to appoint a talented Injury & Wellbeing Lead to be based in Minchinbury Distribution Centre (DC).
As a positive and passionate Injury & Wellbeing Lead, your role exists to support the implementation of an integrated injury and wellbeing management strategy at a site level. The role will help the site teams in achieving a step change in their Injury Management and Workers Compensation performance. There is a
Together with a focus on early return to work and appropriate support for injured team members, a summary of additional responsibilities will include, however not be limited to:

Help develop and maintain a business culture which supports the proactive management of the processes surrounding work and non-work injuries, illnesses or conditions that impact the ability of the individual to safely perform their role, across multiple organisations.

Lead site teams in a wellness program to deal with up and coming key indicators around, medical/ageing/occupational injuries/illnesses.

Liaise with any other people as required about return to work related matters including those within the Business Unit such as Managers and Supervisors.

Implement workers’ compensation policies and procedures, and recommend and implement goals and objectives.

Work with people managers to embed an early return to work culture across all work sites.

Provide resources to educate employees/contractors about the workplace rehabilitation policy and procedures and what to expect when an injury occurs.

Provide leadership by example in identifying safety hazards and proactively pursue solutions to maintain a safe work environment.

Ensure the necessary resources and equipment are freely available to team members to facilitate adherence to safe work procedures and compliance to relevant Occupational Health & Safety Legislation.

To be successful you will demonstrate significant experience in a similar position or possess extensive operations and leadership experience

3-5+ years experience as a RTW, Injury Management, Case Management or similar

Tertiary qualifications of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Rehabilitation would be highly desirable

In-depth understanding of injury management and workers’ compensation legislation

High level of interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate and consult with all levels of staff

Well developed leadership and influencing skills combined with ability to show empathy for injured team members
-
Demonstrated skills in process development, consultation, education, implementation, support, evaluation and reporting
-
Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
-
High level of personal integrity and ethical standards

Business acumen in relation to cost effective solutions
-
Experience in Wellbeing initiatives and programs with proven success

Ability to provide timely and accurate information and advice

High level of effectiveness in team situations under the pressure of multiple deadlines

Self-motivated and efficient when working independently of others

Able to provide creative solutions to complex problems

Proven ability to make decisions, use initiative, effectively plan and prioritise work to achieve targets with minimal supervision
