Payroll Implementation Consultant
Joining this cloud computing consultancy your role will be focused on the delivery of our middle, back office and payroll solutions built on the Salesforce.com platform. Delivering to local and global clients, with a specific focus on the recruitment sector.
The role is full time permanent and based in South Melbourne. There maybe some local travel required from time to time.
What you'll be responsible for
Client Focus
- Building trusting and credible relationships with clients
- Delivering services aligned with client objectives and value
- Leading project delivery activities, working hand-in-hand with client executives, business process leads and IT
- Timely and effective communication with clients via appropriate channels
- Regular contributions to support services, including handover of client projects and focus on previous client support cases
- Ongoing engagement with existing clients in conjunction with Account Managers
Solution delivery
- Scoping and planning the delivery of solutions in line with project and engagement scope
- Business analysis, including the evaluation of of existing processes and recommendation for improvements
- Technical analysis of existing systems architecture and functionality as input to recommendations for future state
- Gap-fit analysis: identification of specific solutions for client’s functional requirements
- Provision of estimates for the delivery of outcomes based on analysis, design, build, testing and training tasks
- Documentation of solution design to meet functional, technical, data, and user experience requirements
- Configuration of Salesforce.com and related applications delivered as part of a broader end-to-end solution
- Documentation of solution configuration
- Planning and management of software change control processes
- Creation and execution of testing and quality assurance plans
- Delivery of solutions that meet client requirements and have passed sufficient quality assurance tests prior to delivery, with the objective of minimising re-work and maximising client satisfaction
- Creation of training strategies to meet client learning objectives.
- Delivery of training programs to a range of audiences based on the training strategy, including solution discovery, system administrator, and role based key user and end user
- Management of scope during projects in line with client’s evolving value drivers
- Delivery of software in line with the Success Framework methodology for delivering client projects
- Application of delivery tools and frameworks to assist in effective and consistent delivery of services.
- Input into the creation and maintenance of existing toolsets.
- Use of Salesforce CRM and the Projects App to ensure centralised management of projects
- Contribution to knowledge base for best practices and solutions
- Assisting the Engagement Lead / Project Manager in creating a plan to deliver the agreed scope
- Identification and documentation within the team of both project and software related issues and risks, with impact analysis and mitigation actions
- Minuting meetings, maintaining and delivering on agreed action plans within project teams
- Participation from time to time in presales activities as required
- Input into ongoing product development and enhancement from roll-in from clients

Required Experience
You may have worked at either software service providers that build and deploy middle and back office systems to their end customers or you may have worked at Agencies managing their middle and back office system implementation and maintenance.You will have had at least 2 years experience in either of these roles:
- Payroll implementation consultant
- Payroll Systems Analyst
- Payroll Coordinator/Manager or similar
- Contract Coordinator (HR not Engineering)
Other must have skills:
- Deep experience with back office processes (payroll and billing) - this is a technical role requiring SME experience
- Hands on implementation or support of payroll or billing systems such as: Xero, MYOB, Peoplesoft, PageUp, Successfactors, Ascender, Astute, Elmo, Keypay etc
- Experience in working with variety of Payroll and related back office products
