THE ORGANISATION
Celebrating 20 years of operation and proudly Australian owned and operated, Symbio Laboratories is a leading provider of commercial testing services to the food, agricultural, water and environmental industries. We have laboratories in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Townsville, Wagga Wagga and Rockhampton.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Managing Director you will manage the complete HR function and operations for the business. This is generalist HR role that provides strategic recruitment plan to the Senior Management team to meet the business goals. You will enjoy working with an element of ambiguity and using the resources available to you to provide real HR and business solutions. The key to success in this position is resilience, ability to think laterally, purpose driven mindset and commitment to delivering results.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Oversee recruitment activities and develop a talent management program.
- Provide meaningful workforce analytics in Kronos and generate other HR reports.
- Accurate interpretation of Awards predominately the Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2010; and other relevant workplace legislation.
- Building solid partnerships with stakeholders to optimise outcomes for both staff and the business.
- Provide coaching, guidance and support to Managers in relation to a range of people / HR matters.
- Participate in Annual Performance Reviews and Performance Improvement Plans.
- Manage and guide conflict resolutions to produce fair and just results for both parties.
- Reviewing, updating and creating templates, policies and procedures.
- Other HR related tasks as assigned by the Managing Director.
Preferred qualifications and skills include:
- Tertiary qualified in HR/ ER/ Organisational Psychology.
- Excellent HR generalist management experience and sound ER/IR credentials.
- Solid experience working within medium to large private organisations preferably in the Manufacturing sector.
- Previous experience with Kronos is ideal.
Some interstate travelling will be required as part of this role.
