Our client, a highly value driven & major services provider who is currently going through significant cultural transformation is seeking a highly experienced ER Lead to join & support the P&C team as a trusted advisor. Reporting into the HR Manager you will be responsible for managing and advising on complex ER cases, the development of new and review of existing policies, procedures and other collateral in the Employee Relations and Industrial Relations field and managing the union relationship and consultative committee to ensure we continue to enjoy a productive IR environment .

A key focus of the role will be to prepare for a successful Enterprise Agreement negotiation, with the current Agreement’s nominal expiry date being June 2019.

This position will have long term impacts on the industrial Relations framework through its contribution to the implementation of the IR strategy by supporting key stakeholders and assisting with projects and initiatives. In addition, the position will be a key enabler in driving performance in the company through supporting of complex case management.

The major accountability area's are:

  • Provide thought leadership in the ER/IR landscape to broader P&C team and managers
  • Contribute to the industrial and employee relations strategy and approach
  • Coordinate and participate in employee forums as appropriate to gather and understand employee feedback
  • Develop positive relationships with employee representative groups and individuals
  • Support EBA negotiations as appropriate and provide advice and support on Award interpretations
  • Lead workplace investigations into issues such as allegations of bullying, sexual harassment and other disciplinary matters

To be successful you must have extensive experience with EBA/Union negotiations and strong union relationship management and preferably with previous HR Business Partner experience.
