Located out in Northern suburbs, our client is seeking a passionate, experienced and proactive HR Business Consultant who is hungry to enhance business performance and employee experience in the organisation.This business-focused HR role will give you the opportunity to work alongside a highly dedicated team, excellent onsite facilities, career progression opportunities and the chance to work in a global company in a rewarding industry.
The responsibilities and duties include:
- Working closely with the management team (employee relations issues).
- Collaborating and ensuring consistency through all the company policies and contracts.
- Supporting and driving performance improvement plans
- Interacting with employees as the designated union representative
- Building a positive rapport with all the employees
- Conducting confidential investigations regarding misconduct related matters
- Support and assist with implementing terminations
- Preparation of statistical reports to identify problem areas
- Facilitating resolutions for any employee issues and concerns (labour grievances, disputes etc)
- Responding and escalating enquiries regarding HR policies and procedures
- Developing and updating materials and tools to provide support to the HR Operations Centre.
- Assisting with HR Programs and Initiatives
- Providing support with special HR Projects
- Providing support and educating leaders with performance management.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, organisational psychology, business or related field is essential.
- Background experience as an HR Generalist
- Experience in employee and industrial relations
- Strong knowledge of HR processes within a dynamic organisation
- Experience working in a large company in a matrixed reporting environment
- Strong understanding of employment-related laws at the county
- Ability to manage complex employee relations cases and investigations
- High customer focus
- Results-oriented with a sense of urgency
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to build strong relationships and build a positive work culture
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
