Join a leading Financial Services business as an Instructional Designer to support the design and delivery of ongoing programs to uplift Financial Crime Compliance across the business. Based in Sydney this will be an initial 12 month project with view to extend / go permanent. 
  
You will be someone who is passionate about understanding how people learn and how to translate this into engaging learning programs through a variety of digital platforms, including mobile devices in the constantly evolving eLearning space. 
 
Your role will support a team of eLearning Developers and a Capability Manager, and you will be working in a highly varied role.
 
You responsibilities include:
  • Design and pilot an initial leader-led scenario-based program focusing on financial crime threats, risks and compliance; following pilot refine as required and oversee global rollout
  • Craft and design course material across a variety of formats (online, video, game, digital, audio, classroom etc.)
  • Design and build of impactful fit-for-purpose capability development programs, including leader-led programs
  • Conduct and facilitate content workshops.
  • Develop a variety of learning solutions across multiple platforms such as digital platforms, mobile devices, virtual classrooms, videos, games etc.
  • Be involved in making recommendations for training plans, course material, multimedia, learning objectives etc.
  • Design courses material for the LMS (Learning Management Systems).
  • Design and develop self-paced training material aligned to the business requirements. 
  • Stakeholder management and working in conjunction with other teams across the business, along with collaboration with business SME's to drive new content. 
  • Make recommendations for interactive learning & development strategies. 
  • Hold the vision for projects and coordinate all aspects of the content from proposal stage through to final delivery.
 
Skills & experience required:
  • Proven experience working as an Instructional Designer.
  • Excellent technical writing and editing skills.
  • Strong understanding of technical writing and information mapping.
  • A strong portfolio that shows a diverse and creative range of work and solutions in the Instructional Design / eLearning arena.
  • Display knowledge of instructional design, online learning theories, online course design, virtual classrooms etc..
  • The ability to write clear, concise and engaging content (scenarios, dialogue, instructional text)
  • A creative approach and an ability to think outside of the box.
  • Course design and development skills.
  • Excellent presentation and training skills.
  • You can successfully managing risk
  • Experienced in solving problems and overcoming conflict
  • Training and education relating to regulatory standards and change (desirable)
Experience with driving behavioural change in Financial Crime Compliance will be highly regarded.
