Job Title:  Recruitment Specialist

The Department of Planning & Environment is the lead NSW Government agency in planning for a growing NSW. The Department is going through an exciting period of organisational and operational change.

About the Role:
An exciting new opportunity to join a dynamic team to deliver some recruitment advice to key stakeholders across the business. Working collaboratively with the greater recruitment team and other key stakeholders, you will have an understanding of applying recruitment principals to provide solutions whilst meeting the Diversity teams key objectives.
 
 
Primary purpose of the role
  • Coordinate and deliver end to end recruitment services including job briefs, advertising and sourcing, shortlisting, assessments and onboarding activities to meet diversity employment targets
  • Develop and provide strategic advice on appropriate sourcing and assessment strategies with a focus on a diverse candidate pool including people with disability, women, youth, Aboriginal and multicultural peoples
  • Review, develop and maintain diversity recruitment policies and practices to build internal capability of generalist teams
  • Collaborate and network with external organisations to identify opportunities for marketing and promotion activities to address current and future skill needs
 

Essential requirements

Qualifications in Human Resources and/or relevant professional experience in recruitment delivery.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience of recruitment management, policies, processes and legislative requirements with a focus on diversity or equity initiatives.

 
 
To be successful in the role, ideally you will have:
An understanding of the GSE Act and how it applies to recruitment.
