The company
This well established multinational engineering firm with an Australian presence for 20 years now choosing to insource their HR function. With operations across Australia and New Zealand the organisation creates bespoke solutions for a very diverse customer base.  The HR function will support 50 staff across engineering, sales and operations and administration.

The role
Reporting to the CEO and Commercial Manager, you will be in sole charge of their burgeoning HR function supported with a new HRIS.  You will be the go-to person for your client group largely made up of a large cohort of specialist technical and sales engineers.


The responsibilities
Your new role is to build on the existing rudimentary processes and create a full-blown service-oriented HR function, involving:

• recruitment, induction and onboarding of new staff.
• development of performance management and annual review processes.
• establishing HR metrics and reporting processes.
• taking ownership of WHS and running the Committee.
• identifying and facilitating training in soft skills.
• reviewing, updating and creating templates, policies and procedures.
• interpreting complex commission structures for sales staff.
• supporting leaders and employees to understand and adhere to legislative and contractual obligations.
• building solid partnerships with stakeholders to optimise outcomes for both staff and the business.
• managing all HR administration.

The candidate
In order to be successful in your application, you will:

• be an established manager and highly experienced HR generalist.
• have strength of character to build credibility and develop solid relationships with an educated client group.
• be self sufficient, resourceful and diligent in your approach.

The rewards
A salary of $105K plus superannuation pro rata with parking at the door and an enviable working environment, flexible part time hours with very limited overtime and a relaxed culture.  As standalone HR practitioner, you will enjoy taking ownership and relish the responsibility that comes with creating and enhancing the people side of the business as it grows.
