The Role

We are seeking an OH&S/HR Coordinator who will be responsible for driving and fostering a safety culture through active consultation and engagement across our sites based in Victoria and the Sunraysia Region in New South Wales.

 

Reporting to the HR Manager, your day to day activities will focus on maintaining and coordinating all OHS actions. This role will also collaborate on broader HR & OHS projects as the business continues to grow. Your proven ability to drive and influence the implementation of best practice WHS processes, will see you delivering timely and effective advice to key stakeholders across farm operations and our processing plants. Duties will include (but not limited to) the following:

 

·        Assist with the development and implementation of ongoing mentoring, training systems and tools for managers and employees to drive improved OH&SE performance.

·        Undertaking incident investigations and advising on corrective actions, you will proactively promote a culture of safety to ensure staff follow and identify unsafe activities and practices.

·        Assisting the operational teams with their routine WHS actions, including tracking and reporting;

·        Coordinating employee training in alignment with our WHS training matrix;

·        Assisting the operational teams with the preparation of Safe Operating Procedures; 

·        Assist with the development and implementation of ongoing mentoring, training systems and tools for managers and employees to drive improved OH&SE performance.

·        Review incident and hazard reporting data to identify trends and report as required

·        Support return to work planning

 

You will also enjoy diversity of location, as you will be required to travel to the Sunraysia region in NSW on a regular basis.

 

About You

Collaborative & self-driven in your approach, you will bring with you, your extensive knowledge of Australian OHS Legislation and be able to demonstrate your experience in the implementation and execution of OHS management and processes. Discrete and well organized with good time management skills, you will be committed to maintaining the highest standards of conduct in all duties. Ideally you will possess:

·        Formal qualifications in HR/ Safety or proven equivalent experience

·        Proven experience in a similar role in the food manufacturing and/or agriculture industries (highly desirable)

·        Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

·        Resilience, agility and possess a willingness to be a hands-on team member

·        Demonstrated working knowledge of proactive / behavioural safety approach

·        Demonstrated knowledge and thorough understanding of Work Health and Safety Legislation

·        Proven success in delivering training programs and systems that underpin a robust WHS framework

·        Demonstrated ability to manage effective WHS consultation, participation and education processes

·        Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)

·        Sound IT (MS Office, email) and administration skills
