Company Overview

Medvet Science is a national supplier of health and safety solutions to workplaces and hospital services to public organisations. With its head office in Adelaide, Medvet’s vision is to grow their business to allow them to invest $2million annually in health and medical science. Medvet is one of the largest private supporters of medical research in South Australia.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Managing Director, this position is responsible for managing the human resources, safety and quality functions of the business. Medvet currently employs 300 staff across South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and the Australian Capital Territory. Medvet is ISO 9001 accredited and is a registered training organisation. This role provides leadership to the operational staff ensuring a safe working environment and WHS compliance. It is also responsible for recruiting and training, developing policy and procedures and maintaining Medvet’s quality management systems.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

The successful candidate will be results focused, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience in delivering operational and human resources solutions within a service environment.

This exciting role will ideally suit a generalist senior human resources manager who is highly motivated and displays a resourceful, independent and hands on manner. Experience in managing staff in an industrial environment and a sound knowledge in industrial relations is essential. An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated to attract an outstanding candidate.
