The Client
Our client, a well-established financial business based south of Brisbane CBD are currently looking for a System Engineer to join their growing team. If you are looking for a fun energetic environment with a great team that work hard and enjoy regular company gatherings, then this is for you.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible and able to demonstrate the following:
• Be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Ability to initiative and make positive changes to systems configuration.
• Provide support to end-users IT issues
• Roll out new virtual machines
• Upgrade software and maintain backups
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve network and system problems
• Work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Assisting senior technicians
Your Profile
The successful candidate will also be able to show an understanding of the following:
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• A strong understanding of Network and Server Infrastructure.
• Powershell and command line scripts experience
• Hyper-V and VMWare virtualisation knowledge.
• Experience with the following operating systems ( Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Server, Microsoft Office 365)
• An understanding of Network Security.
• Ability to implement network infrastructure including wireless access points, firewalls, routers and switchers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
The Following would be a bonus
• Linux administration,
• Current certifications ( CCNA, MCSA)
• Configuring VoIP
• Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches
