A Day in the Life of a Technical Consultant
While you are encouraged to be innovative in devising solutions, below are a set of activities that typically helps a Platform Engineer achieve his/her business goals in a structured way:
• Working to deliver robust and scalable container platforms (PaaS and CaaS) that enables teams to deliver modern Microservice and Digital solutions to clients
• Develop and maintain flexible and automated cloud infrastructure platforms using Infrastructure as code principles and tooling
• Automation of system deployments and configuration management
We’d like to hear from you if you have the following experience:
Technical Skills:
• Cloud technologies and services (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform)
• Container technologies (eg Docker) and their associated orchestration engines (Kubernetes / Openshift / Rancher / Swarm)
• Infrastructure as code development (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates)
• DevOps philosophies and toolchains such as continuous integration and delivery
• Linux system implementation and management using automation frame works such as Ansible, Salt Stack, Puppet, etc
• Java development experience, ideally to create integration/API solutions
• Knowledge of security and performance considerations and approaches for online systems, and exposure to security and performance testing process
• Experience helping clients define technical and non-functional requirements
• Proven client-facing agency or consulting experience within a reputable professional services organisation, including the ability to communicate complex technical issues and design decision to Experience providing technical, estimation and solution definition support for tenders and proposals.
Consulting Skills:
• Ability to engage with business stakeholders to understand their priorities, value drivers and needs.
• Strong ability to provide well-conceived, clearly articulated, pragmatic solutions and recommendations to complex business problems.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load, meet project deadlines, and drive results
• Excellent verbal and oral communication skills, including presentations and negotiations
• Ability to communicate complex / technical issues to non-technical audiences
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
