Your new company
My client is seeking an experienced BI/Reporting Architect to drive effective data strategy and governance throughout the organisation.

Your new role
Reporting through to the Solutions Manager you will be responsible for providing information and data expertise for business systems and data insights related to initiatives across the organisation to achieve strategic and technological objectives.
The purpose of this role is to design application/reporting architecture on the basis of business and functional requirements, which includes defining the interaction between application packages, databases and middleware systems in terms of functional and non-functional coverage.
The role also provides leadership and mentorship in respect of the reporting and analytics landscape, especially with a view to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics and dashboarding.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will require the following skills/ experience:

  • Solid knowledge of ICT architecture best practice and current and emerging industry trends. Proven ability to evaluate stakeholder requirements and develop and present solution options to senior management and various stakeholders
  • Extensive experience as a Principal Reporting Developer, working for medium to large government or commercial organisations with software design patterns, development standards, and application reporting frameworks
  • Extensive experience in a wide range of reporting and Business Intelligence concepts and practices including Data Warehousing, Data Marts, ODS, Big Data, Data Analytics and Data Science
  • Extensive experience with RDBMS such as SQL Server 2005 to SQL Service 2016, Oracle and Azure SQL Database. Experience in NoSQL databases will be desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in driving technical innovation, identifying opportunities where new technologies or practices can be utilised to better lives or improve efficiency/productivity
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more Business Intelligence or Dashboarding tools, e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, Qlik Sense and SAS Analytics
  • Demonstrated experience in a range of reporting technologies, in particular, Microsoft database tools, including SSAS, SSIS, SSMS and SSRS
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering reporting and analytics solutions on CRM platforms such as MS Dynamics, Salesforce, Siebel and ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of network and infrastructure security principles (such as PKI/TLS, Single Sign-On and Federated Identity Management) applicable to solution designs
  • Proven ability to evaluate stakeholder requirements and develop and present solution options to senior management and various stakeholders
